My baby brother received orders last night. He’s going to Iraq for a year. He leaves in 6 weeks.
I have nothing more to say about that.

When Ernie told me, I just cried. I thought about what you and your family must be feeling, if my reaction was that gut wrenching…
I’ll be sending him angels and envisioning Jesus walking next to him in all that Brian does…
Please send Marcy our love, too.
I guess he didn’t get his transfer!!!!
Honey my thoughts and prayers are with you, Marcy and Bri.
DAD
I don’t think there is anything else to say…..just prayers.
Amen.
Thanks everyone for your thoughts, prayers, concerns and blog comments. Irm doesn’t know yet, so if you could keep the news on the down low until Brian figures out a gentle way to tell her. She’s moving into her new apartment in a week, so timing is everything. There’s a slim chance he can solicit someone to take his place… like .001% chance, but at least the option is there. He just needs to find that needle in the haystack. If/when he does go, he’ll leave around Thanksgiving for a year and will do military law at a base in Baghdad. He won’t be in a combat unit. Thanks again for your kind words.
Of course we will keep praying and thinking of him and Marci-as we talked about last night maybe that needle is not as hard to find as first thought–hold onto that hope! I love you my cuzin!
